Freshfields Guides 3M Through Solventum Spin-Off 

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has provided legal counsel to the US-based technology conglomerate 3M in its spin-off of the healthcare division, now known as Solventum, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The transaction encompassed the intricate legal separation and reorganization of the healthcare business, boasting a revenue of 8.2 billion US dollars spanning across more than 90 jurisdictions. Leveraging the expertise of a sizable international Freshfields team, alongside support from multiple law firms within the Stronger Together network and aided by innovative solutions from the Freshfields Hub and Freshfields Lab, the successful execution of this complex undertaking was achieved within the stipulated timeframe.
