Farewell to Fouad Abdelaziz
The international legal community mourns the passing of Fouad Abdelaziz, partner at Jurisera and revered figure all across the legal industry.
The career
As a Partner at Jurisera, Fouad held a role that combined strategic oversight with a hands-on approach in legal practice, often representing clients in civil, commercial, criminal, and administrative cases both before the Egyptian courts and in international forums.
Moreover, he was particularly active in commercial arbitration proceedings, participating in cases under the auspices of CRCICA, DIAC, DIFC-LCIA, ICC, and CAS rules.
In addition, his role encompassed the drafting and negotiation of key legal documents, where he prepared shareholders’ agreements, share purchase agreements, and other critical corporate instruments, playing a pivotal role in the incorporation and management of diverse legal entities such as Joint Stock Companies and Limited Liability Companies, often in collaboration with the Egyptian General Authority for Free Zones and Investment (GAFI).
Moreover, his extensive in-house legal counsel experience further broadened his expertise as he managed construction disputes, non-contentious construction work, corporate restructuring, and ensured compliance with governmental procedures, including the organization of EGMs and OGMs.
Beyond his technical expertise, Fouad was celebrated for his mentorship and ethical leadership.
