Egypt Boosts Skill Development with New Technical Schools

The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, in collaboration with Eni and local entities, signed significant cooperation agreements to establish new Applied Technical Schools in Damietta and Marsa Matrouh governorates.

These schools, operated by Elsewedy Technical Academy, aim to enhance technical education in the region and provide specialized training in fields such as hospitality, carpentry, logistics, welding, and more.

Additionally, the third agreement plans with local bodies, include the construction of Egypt’s first green public language school in Ras Ghareb, Red Sea governorate.

In October 2021, Eni inaugurated the Zohr Applied Technology School (ATS) in Port Said, a flagship institution for technical education in Egypt. The school, part of the government’s strategy to enhance technical skills among young people, admits 264 students annually and is projected to reach 792 students by 2024. Additionally, the school offers advanced courses for employed adults through its Training Academy.
