The collaboration, formalized through a Joint Venture (JV) agreement, marks a significant milestone in the strategic expansion of both companies. Under the agreement signed in Madrid by Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, and Jose Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra, the JV will focus on developing and manufacturing next-generation radar systems in the UAE.

The partnership is set to open a pipeline of orders for approximately 300 advanced radar solutions, granting the new business prime rights for current and future non-NATO and non-EU orders awarded to Indra.

Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of EDGE Group, expressed confidence in the venture, highlighting the synergies between the two companies as they combine their strengths to create a major industry player in the radar technology sector. The JV will focus on continued development, innovation, and global market expansion by targeting untapped non-NATO markets outside of the European Union. Leveraging EDGE’s commercial strength and technology expertise, alongside Indra’s capabilities in technology transfer, engineering, commercial, and manufacturing, the partnership aims to drive innovation and expand market reach.

Speaking at the official signing ceremony in Madrid, Hamad Al Marar highlighted the significance of the partnership in expanding EDGE’s offerings and contributing to technological advancement and economic growth in the UAE and Spain. He reiterated the commitment to driving innovation and developing sovereign capabilities through the collaboration.
