Dr. Shehab Farouk is Listed as an Arbitrator at the Dubai International Arbitration Centre

Dr. Farouk, a legal director at the International Law Firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP, brings over 15 years of specialized experience in international commercial and construction arbitration in the Middle East.
As part of the Infrastructure, Construction, and Energy Disputes (ICED) team at CMS, Dr. Farouk has provided expert advice to a diverse clientele, including both local and international entities. His areas of specialization encompass civil, commercial, corporate, arbitration, and construction law.
Dr. Farouk’s professional experience includes representing prominent local and international construction corporations in Oman and beyond, appearing on their behalf in arbitral tribunal proceedings. He has also served as an arbitrator in both ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings.
Beyond his legal practice, Dr. Farouk holds an FCIArb designation and tutor certification from The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). He teaches candidates in Saudi Arabia (SCCA) and Oman (OAC) on International Commercial Arbitration. He has also been appointed as the LCIA YIAG Regional Representative for the Middle East.
Dr. Farouk’s contributions extend to drafting arbitration and mediation rules for the Oman Commercial Arbitration Centre (OAC). He has developed and delivered unique training programs, including “Drafting Dispute Resolution Clauses” and “Preparation of Arbitral Tribunal Secretaries” for the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) and Oman Commercial Arbitration Centre (OAC).
