Dentons Zaanouni: Malek Badri to head Media and Sports practice

Dentons Zaanouni Law Firm has created a new Media, Entertainment, and Sports department and has appointed Malek Badri as its Partner and Head of Practice.  

Malek Badri is an experienced lawyer with a broad practice that covers Sports & Gaming, Art, Media & Entertainment, and Litigation, Arbitration & Mediation. He is well-known for his work as a trusted advisor to clients operating in the sports and media sectors, and has extensive experience in advising on regulations, business, and talent agreements, international broadcast licenses, copyright litigation, trademarks, idea theft, and right of publicity claims, as well as drafting software licenses. He has also been involved in several governance and strategy transformation projects for major sporting organizations in the MENA region. 

Before joining Dentons Zaanouni, Badri has acted as Head of Legal at the Saudi Pro League and previously as Legal Counsel & Director of the Judicial Bodies at the Saudi Football Federation. He also acted for more than four years as Litigation Manager in one of the prominent banks in Tunisia
