Dentons with the establishment of $1.3B Gigafactory in Morocco’s automotive industry
In May 2023, the Moroccan Government and the Sino-European group Gotion High-Tech –
signed in Marrakech, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further consolidate the establishment of a 500-hectare Gigafactory with a projected capacity of 100 GWh/year, based in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, in Kénitra Atlantic Free Zone commune.
On Thursday 6th of June 2024, in Rabat, the strategic investment agreement signing ceremony
took place with the Moroccan Government – an event attended by key officials from both
Morocco and China. Present for this official signing, Prime Minister of Morocco – Aziz Akhannouch.
