Curtis’s License as International Law Firm in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle has been granted a license to practice law for a foreign Firm in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The office will be staffed by both Saudi and international lawyers and fully integrated with Curtis’ worldwide operations.
Curtis Chairman George Kahale III (pictured left) said: “This was the logical next step for us given our expanding practice, both inbound and outbound, in this exciting and important market. We will continue to focus on our traditional areas of strength – international transactions, international tax, investment management, international trade, international litigation and arbitration, and public international law.”
Curtis in Middle East
Curtis had been establishing its presence in Middle East with its three offices. The first office to open was in Muscat in 1997. This office is located in Qurum and is the only licensed American law firm in Oman. In terms of chronology, the second office to open was in Dubai, launched in 2008 and licensed in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The final office to open was in Riyadh in 2021, established in association with Trafua Legal Consultants, an independent Saudi Arabian law firm.
