Clifford Chance advises on OQ Gas Networks financing
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised a syndicate of 16 Omani and regional banks on multicurrency conventional and Islamic facilities for OQ Gas Networks (OQGN). As the sole proprietor and operator of Oman’s natural gas system, OQGN is set to benefit from this landmark transaction, which is anticipated to become one of Oman’s largest syndicated Islamic financings to date and gives OQGN access to Sharia-compliant and conventional financing facilities worth USD1.2 billion.
