Clifford Chance promotes Inaamul Laher to partner
International law firm Clifford Chance has announced the promotion of 32 lawyers to the partnership, effective 1 May 2023.
Among the newly elected partners is Middle East construction specialist Inaamul Laher (pictured).
Laher leads the firm’s Middle East transactional Construction practice. He specialises in advising developers, financial investors, lenders and government entities on the construction, operation and related aspects of large-scale energy, infrastructure and real estate projects across the MENA region. He has been based in Abu Dhabi since 2016, prior to which he spent two years in the firm’s International Construction Group in London.
Laher has acted on, and continues to be involved in, some of the highest profile power (thermal and renewable), water and wastewater, oil & gas, transport, social infrastructure and new communities projects in the region.
“I am delighted for Inaamul on his promotion.” said Mohammed Al-Shukairy, Clifford Chance’s Regional Managing Partner for the Middle East. “Regional construction activity continues to be very strong with energy transition and economic diversification objectives being implemented as well as ongoing investment in the oil and gas sector. I look forward to working closely with him to support our clients navigate and take advantage of these opportunities.”
