Latham & Watkins advises on BioNTech’s acquisition of InstaDeep
Latham & Watkins has provided legal counsel to Chimera Abu Dhabi in the sale of its investment in InstaDeep, a global technology company in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, to BioNTech.
The deal includes BioNTech acquiring 100% of the remaining InstaDeep shares, excluding the shares already owned by BioNTech, for a total upfront consideration of approximately GBP362 million in cash and BioNTech shares.
Latham & Watkins previously advised Chimera Abu Dhabi on its investment in InstaDeep’s USD100 million Series B funding round in January 2022. The legal team was led by Dubai partner Eyad Latif (pictured) and London partner Mike Turner, with support from Dubai counsel Omar Maayeh and London associates Pierre–Axel Aberg and Irene Brandão.
