Chad Passlow Joins Baker Botts Dubai Office
Baker Botts, an international law firm specializing in energy, technology, and life sciences, has announced the latest addition to its Dubai office. Chad Passlow (pictured) has joined the firm as Counsel in the Global Projects department, further enhancing Baker Botts’ commitment to providing top-tier legal services in the Middle East.
Chad Passlow brings a wealth of experience to the team, having previously served as Vice President, Legal of the Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading at ADNOC, a prominent oil and gas company in the Middle East. With over 15 years of legal expertise, Passlow’s career has primarily been rooted in Australia, but he has also extended his legal acumen to the UAE and Singapore.
In his role at Baker Botts, Chad Passlow will primarily focus on project financing and project development within the energy and infrastructure sectors in the Middle East. His advisory portfolio spans various industries, including oil and gas, CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage), energy transition, and renewables such as wind, solar, hydropower, as well as conventional power and infrastructure projects.
This appointment closely follows the addition of projects partner Shane Wilson, who joined the Baker Botts Dubai office in July. The Energy practice at Baker Botts is recognized for its diverse team of lawyers who possess a wide range of complementary skills and experiences, enabling the firm to offer clients the full spectrum of legal expertise required for intricate and sophisticated energy and infrastructure projects and transactions across the globe.
