BEEAH and Atkins to advance sustainable radioactive waste solutions 

BEEAH Group, a renowned sustainability pioneer and digital expert based in the UAE, has entered into a joint development agreement (JDA) with Atkins, a global design, engineering, and project management consultancy. This collaboration aims to foster closer cooperation between the two organizations in delivering projects focused on the off-site treatment of radioactive waste generated by nuclear facilities in the UAE and the wider MENA region. 

The signing ceremony was held at the World Utilities Congress, Abu Dhabi, UAE, and was attended by senior representatives from BEEAH Group, Atkins and Department for Business and Trade, British Embassy in the UAE. 

Under the agreement, BEEAH and Atkins will work together to identify market opportunities and develop integrated waste management solutions specifically tailored to the needs of the nuclear power industry. By leveraging their collective expertise, the companies seek to support the UAE’s sustainability agenda while addressing the critical challenge of managing radioactive waste effectively.
