Barclays appoints Chiapparoli as co-head of EMEA’s industrials
Barclays has announced the appointment of Enrico Chiapparoli (pictured) as co-head of EMEA’s (Europe, Middle East and Africa) industrial sector, working alongside Richard Probert, who had been working in the same role for the past five years.
Barclays’ industrial sector plays a significant role for the company, which has a solid presence in the EMEA region and holds the top three positions in the industry services, transport, logistics and packaging segments, according to Dealogic.
“We have an extraordinary opportunity to consolidate our position in this region with Enrico and Richard’s experience and network of contacts, which are crucial to realise our strategic ambitions,” says Tim Main, head of investment banking EMEA.
Chiapparoli and Probert bring more than 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing and equity. During their careers, they have advised some of the most prominent clients in the industry, including Stellantis, Aston Martin, CNHI, Ashtead, Aggreko and Compass.
Paolo De Luca, head of investment banking Italy, will assume the role of CEO for Italy, currently held by Enrico Chiapparoli, subject to board and regulatory approval.
