Baker McKenzie advises CMA CGM on JV with RSGT

Baker McKenzie has advised the CMA CGM Group, a shipping and logistics group, on the signing of definitive agreements with Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) to establish a joint venture that will develop, finance, build and operate Terminal 4 at Jeddah Islamic Port in Saudi Arabia. The aggregate planned investment for the project is USD 434 million.

Deal Details

The joint venture between CMA CGM Group and RSGT covers the development and operation of the new terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, one of Saudi Arabia’s main maritime gateways. Once completed, Terminal 4 is expected to support Jeddah Islamic Port’s role as a regional shipping hub.

The Baker McKenzie team advising CMA CGM Group was led by partners Matthew Martin (Abu Dhabi) and Marcos Spanos (Dubai), together with Luke Meehan and Senior Associate Yousef Bugaighis. The team also included Eric Lasry, Michael Doumet and Johanna Federspiel, based in Paris.
