Baker McKanzie Cairo’s new MP: Ghada H. El Ehwany
Ghada H. El Ehwany (pictured) is the newly appointed Managing Partner of Baker McKanzie’s Cairo office, effective July 1st, 2025. She becomes the first female Managing Partner in the history of the firm’s Egyptian location and of the region.
The profile
El Ehwany advises clients across Egypt and the MENA region on matters of corporate, commercial and labor law, with a specific focus on mergers and acquisitions, healthcare regulatory, insolvency, employment, global reorganizations, compliance, TMT, investigations and dispute resolution matters.
She first entered Baker McKenzie in 2000 as a senior associate. She then covered senior positions as knowledge manager and counsel in the firm’s Dubai office. In July 2019, she joined the firm’s partnership lineup in Cairo, focusing on healthcare & compliance, consumer goods and retails.
