Baker Botts Unveils Key Leadership Appointments 

Baker Botts, the renowned international law firm specializing in energy, technology, and life sciences, has announced key leadership changes effective December 18. The strategic appointments aim to enhance the firm’s global presence and foster continued success. 

Danny David, Managing Partner of Baker Botts, expressed gratitude for the selfless contributions of these partners, highlighting their valuable perspectives. The leadership changes signify a commitment to leveraging experience and insight, reinforcing Baker Botts’ position as a leading global law firm. 

Leadership Transitions Include (pictured left to right above): 

Mark Rowley as Non-U.S. Office Partner-in-Charge: Mark Rowley, a seasoned Global Projects partner with over two decades at Baker Botts, assumes the role of Non-U.S. Office Partner-in-Charge. Having led the London office since 2015 and the Middle East offices since 2019, Rowley will now provide strategic oversight for offices outside the U.S., emphasizing cross-departmental collaboration. 

Mark Bisch as Dubai Partner-in-Charge: With a decade-long tenure at Baker Botts, Mark Bisch, Chair of the Corporate Department for the Middle East, assumes a pivotal role in overseeing operations in Dubai. Known for his expertise in complex joint ventures and regulatory compliance, Bisch’s leadership promises to drive excellence in the region. 

Shadi Haroon as Riyadh Partner-in-Charge: Drawing on 17 years of experience with Baker Botts, Shadi Haroon, recognized for his corporate structuring and transactional prowess, takes charge of Riyadh operations. His extensive background in mergers, acquisitions, and equity offerings positions him as a valuable asset in guiding clients through Saudi Arabia’s dynamic market. 

Chris Caulfield as London Partner-in-Charge: A stalwart of more than 10 years at Baker Botts, Chris Caulfield, known for his specialization in international disputes and sanctions/export control matters, steps into the role of London Partner-in-Charge. His appointment underscores his commitment to steering the London office toward continued success.
