Ashurst Perkins Coie names four new office managing partners in Middle East
Following the $2.8bn merger between Ashurst and Perkins Coie at the end of June, Ashurst Perkins Coie appointed four new office managing partners in the Middle East region, namely Stuart James in Abu Dhabi, Faisal Baassiri in Jeddah, Cameron Cuffe in Dubai and Martyn Rogers in Riyadh.
The profiles
Stuart James advises on cross-border and domestic transactions in the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures and commodity sales and marketing arrangements, in addition to general corporate and commercial matters.
Faisal Baassiri regularly advises leading local and international financial institutions and corporates on transactions and contentious matters in Saudi Arabia, as well as on cross-border mandates with a Saudi element. From a cross-border perspective, Baassiri also advises on Saudi Arabian law for a wide range of energy and infrastructure transactions.
Cameron Cuffe’s practice focuses on international arbitration, and particularly on engineering and construction related disputes. He also advises clients in relation to expert determinations, dispute adjudication boards, adjudications and mediations.
Martyn Roger advises g on leveraged finance, investment grade, emerging markets and restructuring transactions. Before relocating to Riyadh in early 2024, he headed the firm’s European and US Global Loans team for ten years.
