Ashurst appoints Adam Soames as new BDO

Ashurst has named Adam Soames as its new Chief Business Development Officer, effective November 4. Based in London, Soames will lead the firm’s Clients, Markets, and Growth division, working closely with Jamie Ng, Ashurst’s Global Client and Markets Partner, to drive the firm’s 2027 business development strategy.

Bringing nearly 30 years of experience in business development, strategic transformation, and operational management, Soames joins Ashurst from Hogan Lovells, where he served as Global Director of Business Development and Strategy for 17 years. His career also includes roles at Deloitte, PwC, and Grant Thornton, positioning him to reinforce Ashurst’s status as a trusted advisor for complex global challenges.

Jamie Ng welcomed the addition, highlighting that Soames’ leadership will play a crucial role in advancing Ashurst’s growth objectives. Soames expressed his enthusiasm, noting Ashurst’s distinct vision, values, and commitment to exceptional client service as motivating factors. He looks forward to working with the leadership team and guiding the Clients, Markets, and Growth division towards continued success.
