A&O successfully merges with Shearman

Effective May 1 2024, 40 partners across both Allen & Overy and Shearman & Sterling LPP have been elected to the partnership by their current respective firms. They include David Foster (pictured), partner in charge of META (Middle East, Turkey and Africa) and Dubai.

A&O Shearman’s extension

The fully integrated global elite firm employs more than 7,000 people and nearly 4,000 lawyers, including 800 partners, working in 47 offices in 29 countries.

Commenting on the latest merging, Abu Dhabi-based senior partner Khalid Garousha (pictured left) said: “This isn’t only going to benefit our clients, but also the next generation of legal advisors at A&O Shearman. From our DE&I initiatives to our focus on wellbeing and collaboration, A&O Shearman will be the place that young talent is able to thrive”.
