Alexander Hendry Joins Baker Botts as Corporate Partner 

In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the Middle East, international law firm, Baker Botts has welcomed Alexander Hendry (pictured) as a partner in the Corporate Department at its Dubai office. Hendry brings a wealth of experience in advising clients globally on intricate corporate and commercial matters, particularly in the technology sector. 

With five years of experience in the Middle East and over two years in Singapore, Hendry’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including space and satellites, digital infrastructure, fintech, payments, and more. He has a proven track record of providing strategic counsel to governments, multinational financial institutions, and corporate entities across various jurisdictions. 

Danny David, Managing Partner of Baker Botts, expressed excitement about Hendry’s arrival, emphasizing his role in enhancing the firm’s technology capabilities in both the Middle East and Asia. Mark Bisch, Partner-in-Charge of Baker Botts’ Dubai office, highlighted Hendry’s regional and international experience, which aligns perfectly with the firm’s growth strategy in the technology sector. 

Hendry, who joins from Latham & Watkins in Dubai, expressed enthusiasm about joining Baker Botts, citing the firm’s global platform and strong client base in the technology sector. He looks forward to contributing his expertise to support the firm’s client offerings across various regions. 

Hendry’s addition to Baker Botts closely follows the recent appointments of Global Projects partner Shane Wilson and counsel Chad Passlow in the Dubai office, marking a series of strategic expansions for the firm’s Middle East team.
