The World Law Foundation
The World Law Foundation was created in Madrid in 2019 as the executive arm of the World Jurist Association, an NGO in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC), founded in Washington in 1963 as a free and open forum in which judges, lawyers, academics, and other professionals from around the world work cooperatively to strengthen and expand the Rule of Law and its institutions in nations worldwide.
With these appointments, the structure of both institutions is strengthened, as they begin their campaign to organize the 29th edition of the World Law Congress that will take place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on May 4-6, 2025. This prestigious congress brings together to more than three hundred world-leading panelists and speakers, including heads of State, judges of supranational, supreme and constitutional courts, academics, lawyers, businessmen and students, to discuss topics as varied and current as the regulation of artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies and their impact on the banking system, sustainability, interreligious conflicts and world peace, and freedom of expression, in more than forty varied panels.
