Winston & Strawn and Taylor Wessing merge into Winston Taylor

Winston & Strawn and Taylor Wessing’s UK-led business have officially launched as a single combined firm under the name Winston Taylor. The newly unified entity operates out of 20 offices and fields a roster of more than 1,400 lawyers spanning the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

The firm’s core capabilities are centered on litigation, critical transactions, strategic IP, and private wealth, with a sector focus that includes technology, media and telecommunications, life sciences and healthcare, financial services, and projects, energy and infrastructure. The expanded platform also integrates corporate, private equity, real estate, finance, antitrust, and regulatory practices, positioning Winston Taylor to offer clients end-to-end global business strategy and support.

Leadership and strategic direction

Chairman Steve D’Amore (pictured left) noted that the integration of teams and offices has proceeded at pace, with the firm working to align its structure around the day-to-day and breakthrough needs of its clients.

Shane Gleghorn (pictured right), managing partner of Europe and Middle East, highlighted that lawyers across the combined firm have already identified dozens of new cross-border opportunities, advising global innovators in key sectors and winning mandates that reflect the firm’s newly expanded footprint and capabilities.
