Ashurst promotes new partner in Abu Dhabi

Ashurst officialised the appointment of eighteen new partners globally, effective from May 1st 2026. The lineup includes Raquel Tarancon Plata (pictured), promoted to the partnership in the firm’s Abu Dhabi office.

Qualified in Abu Dhabi, England and Wales, Tarancon Plata specialises in energy and infrastructure projects across the MENA region advising sponsors, lenders and governments. More specifically, her practice focuses on utilities projects (conventional and renewable power as well as water and wastewater) and oil & gas projects.
