Dentons’ Riza Ismail relocates to Doha
Dentons Middle East bolstered its banking & finance lineup in Doha, Qatar, with the relocation of counsel Riza Ismail (pictured) from the firm’s Muscat office in Oman.
As of Dentons’ official statements, the move comes in response to a growing local client demand for financial services expertise. While Ismail will be primarily involved in Qatar, she will continue to support the Firm’s wider Middle East banking & finance practice.
The profile
Ismail’s practice spans a range of banking and finance matters, with specific focus on Islamic finance, capital markets — including local and international bonds and Sukuk issuances — project finance, corporate banking and investment funds.
The reactions
Commenting on Ismail’s relocation, Gabriel Olufemi, managing partner for Dentons’ Doha office, said: “[…] Doha is becoming an increasingly important centre for international legal expertise and Riza’s ability to advise banking and finance clients will be greatly valued.”
Riza Ismail added: “I’m delighted to be relocating to Doha at a time of continued growth in Qatar’s financial services sector. I look forward to supporting clients locally while continuing to contribute to Dentons’ strong regional Banking & Finance practice.”
