Baker Botts expanded its Riyadh team with Faris Al Amoudi (pictured), moving-in as partner and global head of Islamic finance.

The profile

An expert in Islamic finance and a founding partner of Saudi independent law firm STAT, Al Amoudi advises corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign entities across the MENA region.

Throughout his legal career, he worked at Norton Rose Fulbright in London and Dubai, and White & Case Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Riyadh, leading legal teams  on sovereign and corporate lending, acquisition and real estate financings, restructurings, and regulatory reform.
