Zaki Hashem hosts ELG meeting in Cairo
On Saturday May 10, Zaki Hashem hosted the Energy Law Group (ELG) meeting in Cairo, where global legal professionals and energy sector stakeholders gathered for panel discussions on investment, regulatory developments, and sustainability across the energy industry.
The context
The event hosted legal professionalsfrom more than 50 countries and jurisdictions, being open to member firms of ELG – the international network of law firms specialising in energy, mining, and natural resources.
This year focus has been Egypt’s strategic energy landscape and investment potential, with a peculiar attention to the country’s 2030 Vision.
Key interventions
Yasser Hashem, managing partner of Zaki Hashem, inaugurated the meeting addressing Egypt’s role in the global energy transition. Moreover, Thierry Lauriol, chairman of the Energy Law Group highlighted ELG’s mission of fostering international collaboration in the energy sector.
Arig Ali and Heba El Naggar, partners at Zaki Hashem, moderated all the discussions at the event.
