Stephenson Harwood promotes three new partners in Dubai
Stephenson Harwood announced the promotion to partnership of Jordan Ellis, Toufic Safie, and Paul Katsouris, all currently based in Dubai. Effective May 1st 2025, the three promotions fall within the firm’s appointment of 12 new partners internationally.
Jordan Ellis will operate in the firm’s private wealth team, Paul Katsouris will refer to the maritime, trade and offshore group, while Toufic Safie will work within the corporate and commercial team.
Jordan Ellis
Jordan Ellis advises a diverse clientele of high-net worth individuals and families, family offices and institutional clients with the structuring of their investments, international estate and tax planning, family governance and global mobility. Moreover he specialises on international succession and asset protection structures including trusts and foundations, UAE immigration, and UAE and UK real estate investment.
Toufic Safie
A specialist across M&A, joint ventures and foreign direct investments, Toufic Safie is particularly active across the Middle East region, Africa and Europe. He advises across multiple industries, with a focus on transportation trade and commodities. Moreover, his legal expertise spans various commercial matters, such as franchising. Toufic has worked across different jurisdictions, including Lebanon, Greece, France, the UK, Oman and the UAE.
Paul Katsouris
Paul Katsouris advises on a plethora of contentious and non-contentious matters for a diverse array of clients, such as ship owners, P&I Clubs, charterers, banks, traders, bunker suppliers, family offices, private investors and energy companies. While currently based in Dubai, Katsouris will be relocating to Athens this summer, still maintaining strong professional links to the Middle East region.
